Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Beach House Help Desk handles information from property owners, local service businesses, vendor account holders, and site visitors.

Last updated: July 25, 2026

Overview

Beach House Help Desk operates a local directory and request-routing service for Crystal Coast property services. We collect and use information to run the site, route service requests, review and manage business listings, process paid listing options, protect accounts, prevent abuse, and improve the directory.

Information We Collect

When you request help, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, property area, service need, urgency, and the message you submit.

When a business asks to be listed, claimed, updated, or featured, we may collect business name, contact name, business email, phone number, website, service areas, service categories, other offered services, business description, photos or logos submitted by the business, selected plan, billing status, and related administrative notes.

When a vendor account is created or used, we may collect login identifiers, password reset or setup token status, account activity needed for security, and profile updates submitted through the vendor portal.

When you visit the site, we may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, pages viewed, session identifiers, and timestamps through server logs, cookies, analytics tools, or similar technologies.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate the local directory, respond to service requests, match and route relevant requests to local businesses, track request previews and reveals for each business listing, review new listing submissions, manage claimed listings and vendor accounts, process paid listing or featured-placement purchases, collect taxes where required, send transactional emails, handle refunds or cancellations, prevent spam or misuse, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, keep business records, and improve the site.

Sharing With Local Businesses

If you submit a service request, a limited preview may be sent to up to three relevant local providers. The preview includes the service need, property area, and urgency, but not your name, contact information, or free-form message. A matched provider may then use a secure link to reveal the name, email, phone number, and full message you submitted so it can evaluate the request and follow up directly.

We record when a secure request link is first viewed and when a provider chooses to reveal full details. Eligible business listings receive a limited number of complimentary reveals, and claimed listings may receive ongoing access. Secure links do not require a vendor login and function as private access credentials, so recipients are expected not to share them.

Providers are independent businesses. Their handling of your information after they reveal or receive it is governed by their own practices and applicable law.

Backend vendor email addresses may be used for routing and administrative workflow. They are not shown on public listing pages unless they are intentionally included in public listing content.

Public Listing Information

Business listing information submitted by a business, collected from public sources, edited by an admin, or added through the vendor portal may appear publicly in the directory. This can include business name, website, phone number, city, service areas, service categories, service summary, description, photos, featured status, and links to third-party review pages.

Payments And Billing

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe and PayPal. Beach House Help Desk does not store full payment card numbers. Payment providers may collect billing details, payment method information, payer account information, tax information, transaction metadata, refund status, and subscription status according to their own privacy policies and terms.

We store payment-related records needed to connect a transaction to a listing request or vendor account, process refunds or cancellations, provide customer support, keep accounting and tax records, and prevent abuse.

Analytics, Cookies, And Logs

We may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand site traffic, popular pages, referral sources, device types, and site performance. The site may also use cookies or similar storage for login sessions, security checks, form behavior, preferences, analytics, and troubleshooting.

You can use browser settings or browser extensions to limit cookies or analytics tracking, but some site features, such as login sessions and form security, may not work properly without necessary cookies.

Service Providers And Legal Disclosure

We may share information with service providers that help operate the site, including web hosting, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, security, database, and administrative tools. We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, tax or accounting obligations, security needs, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or to protect the rights and safety of Beach House Help Desk, users, vendors, or others.

No Sale Of Personal Information

Beach House Help Desk does not sell personal information to data brokers or sell individual service-request contact records on a per-lead basis. Claimed-listing plans may include ongoing access to relevant matched requests as part of the directory service. We use submitted contact information to operate that request-routing service, provide support, and manage the legitimate business operations described in this policy.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational safeguards for site administration, vendor access, payment-related records, and submitted information. No website, database, email system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed perfectly secure. If we determine that a security incident requires notice, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.

Retention

We keep service requests, vendor submissions, listing records, account records, payment records, email records, and operational logs as long as needed to operate the site, maintain business and accounting records, process refunds or cancellations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, enforce terms, and meet legal or tax requirements. Some information may remain in backups or logs for a limited period after active deletion.

Your Choices

You can contact us to ask about information you submitted, request corrections, request removal of nonessential information when practical, or ask to stop receiving non-transactional communications. Some records may need to be retained for security, payment, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons.

Children's Privacy

The site is intended for adults and business users. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it when appropriate.

Third-Party Links

The directory may link to vendor websites, Google review pages, payment providers, social profiles, map services, or other third-party sites. This Privacy Policy does not control those third-party services. Review their policies before submitting information to them.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the site, vendor program, analytics, payment workflows, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last-updated date.
